Why I Left Corporate America (And Started 143 Army Instead)
Life's too short not to go all in.

Corporate does not need to equal soulless.
Never has. Never will.
A corporation, or any group, is not a nameless, faceless entity.
It is a collection of people. Hearts, minds, AND souls. Brought together under a single mission.
Under circumstances like these, we human beings are capable of creating SO MUCH good in this world. Beautiful, seemingly impossible positive change and growth.
At the same time, we are also made with the capacity to bring about so much bad.
So much hurt. So much pain and anxiety and suffering.
So many cutbacks and layoffs and freezes and... it never ends.
ALL OF IT in the name of a dollar. Profits. For whom?
The owners. Shareholders.
AND YES, each and every employee who pours their time, effort, and energy into that business.
The very souls who make up the group.
But what happens when we stop focusing less on the people and more on the profits?
When we set our eyes and minds on bottom-line-dollars-and-cents growth mapped on some chart?
Instead of North-Star-guided soul growth planned in our hearts?
The Slippery Slope
It becomes easy... then easier and easier... to lose sight of what matters most.
The promises we've made.
To our customers. To our colleagues. But most of all, to ourselves.
It becomes SO easy to forget love makes all the difference.
Money isn't inherently evil. It just IS.
The LOVE of money? You already know... we've all seen... where that leads.
It always will unless WE are willing to change first. And be able to find it within ourselves, and each other, to resist the glitter. So we can learn to love and treasure the real gold.
That's why 143 Army exists.
Not more corporate swag. Not performative CSR posts.
Daily 1:43. Real love sparked in real ways. No photo op required.
Set the alarm.
Love on somebody.
Join the movement.
