For ourselves + the people around us? It’s love. Capital-L Love. All-caps L-O-V-E. It takes zero effort or energy to fear. To hate. To divide + attack + fight. But it takes everything we’ve got, mind + body + soul, to love. It takes HEART. I’ve made it my personal mission to replace fear + hate + division with love. Sometimes in small ways. Selling a house + moving into a new place. Working hard to get + stay healthy. Losing old friends + making new ones. Building a new business + going all in with no safety net. It’s a lot. But it never feels like too much. Every time, it’s a blessing in disguise. Why? Because my heart + mind + soul are set on blessing others. Every problem, question, or stressor can either feel like a curse or a blessing. It’s up to us. Up to you. My advice? Do Love. Learn to love yourself correctly. So you can love others completely. What’s up, soul brothers + sisters? Lately, I’ve been looking inward + taking inventory of my life + this world. Often quietly. Sometimes out loud. You’ve sent love. Challenged me w/ good questions. Asked if I drank the Ayahuasca cup. ? The short answer? No. The long answer? I’m drinking from another cup. Finally loving myself CORRECTLY. So I can love ALL y’all COMPLETELY. In my life, the lives of the people I love, and in this broken + hurting world. All human beings deal w/ self-doubt. Creatives especially. But not just for me. I’m doing this for y’all. I promise I’m good to go right now. Better than I’ve been in 38+ years. My heart + mind + soul are finally 1,000% aligned. To drop everything we’re doing to—as we say in the South—“love on somebody.” ⏱️ Or as many somebodies as possible. ❤️ Show a person they’re loved—tell ‘em, call ‘em, text ‘em, write to ‘em, or even hug ‘em (with their consent, of course.) 🫂 💜 Pay for a stranger in the drive-thru line or a whole table at a restaurant. One act of selfless love always—ALWAYS—sparks another. I believe this. I also believe in capital-S Science + capital-G God. In every fiber of my being, I trust both are indelibly intertwined. Now, in the beginning, and in the end. Is it really a surprise it’s taken our species 90,000+ years to explain what the heck MIGHT be going on? Now, quantum physics + more remind us we’re still getting started. This is why I’ll forever believe in the hearts of human beings. ❤️‍? Not in the name of just one religion or faith or spiritual path… but in the name of ALL humanity. It’s Newton’s 3rd Law of Physics + the natural world @ work: “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.” Do you feel the tension / fear / hate fueling our world? See our planet unraveling on the outside as our hearts + minds do the same from inside? I don’t know about you, but it’s left me feeling hopeless. Helpless. Or stuck somewhere in between.
